Outdoor Lighting Ordinances in Pennsylvania:
POLC MODEL ORDINANCES:
Beginning in 2004, the Pennsylvania Outdoor Lighting Council has published models for both a Zoning Ordinance
and a Subdivision & Land Development Ordinance. Municipalities are encouraged to adopt both
the Zoning and the Subdivision & Land Development ordinances,
to best address outdoor lighting issues.
Adoption of a stand-alone lighting ordinance is another
option.
A questionnaire for use when initiating a lighting ordinance can be found HERE.
